Created for the Durham Dynamos, the Durham County Cricket Club 20 20 side, this viral ad was used to promote upcoming matches and drive traffic towards the club website.



We only had a very short window of around half an hour to film the players on the pitch. Fortunately club captain Will Smith and fast bowler Graeme Onions proved capable actors and needed few takes. Onions made his England debut a few days after this footage was shot, taking 5 wickets against the West Indies at Lords. Credit also goes to the very obliging swans on the river Wear who timed their flyby for just the right moment. The sound of the supersonic cricket ball comes from the sound of an A10 Thunderbolt jet flying past.
