Turned around over a very short amount of time, this film was commissioned by One North East to provide an overview to the fast-growing electric (and low carbon) vehicle industry in the region. This needed to be a film which makes it clear how much of a world-leader the North East could be in this field – and how vital a collaboration of sectors is to this.



Producer Director Chris Chapman saw the potential for something fast and exciting, and set out to reference the shooting style of Top Gear where possible. This entailed a more fluid camera style, time-ramping effects and frequently shooting out on the roads from the back of a pick-up truck! Dene editor Richard Alderson was crucial to this approach, giving the film a sleekness in the edit and a Top Gear-style hard grade with the colour.
