The World Changed (Revolution Film)
Corporate for One North East

The World Changed is a high-concept, attention-grabbing and boldly original film, commissioned by One North East to “drop a bomb in the room” at a recent conference. The brief was to create a film, which acted as a dynamic call to arms to the innovation sector (renewables, technology, bio-technology etc) in the North East – encouraging them to think big in their plans for the future and take the big strides together.

Devised and scripted by Dene Films producer, Chris Chapman, a splicing of documentary, science fiction and comedy came together – depicting the Newcastle of 2109, a beautiful renewable utopia, shaped by the key technological revolution of the year 2009, an iconic date that has shaped the entire world. Script in place, Chris directed and produced the film, and was particularly happy with the work of the CGI animation team at Dene Films’ sister company Qurios, who created the futurescapes, robots and unfolding newspaper that the script demanded. The complex project was turned around extremely quickly in less than a month from script to screen.

The result was something that met the client brief perfectly and earned a lot of attention from the press – something that makes the case for corporate filmmaking being capable of thinking big, with robots.
