Working in conjunction with ITV and Different, Dene was engaged to script, film and post-produce a rather amusing looking six-part history of feisty, independent-minded British women who lived outside of the normal shape of society.
The series examines historical fact, rumour and gossip and include insights from the like of The Jeepers Peepers Girls, the beautiful Meg La Mania and the playful Anna Fur Laxis.
The programme attracted good reviews and was well received by ITV. The audience figures were well above normal for the broadcast timeslot.
